Training Course on ‘Cultural Diplomacy for OIC Junior Diplomats’

Date : 13-16 September 2021 Venue : Virtual-SESRIC, Ankara - Turkey

Within the framework of its Diplomacy Capacity Building Programme (Diplomacy-CaB), SESRIC, in partnership with the Diplomacy Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, will organise a Training Course on “Cultural Diplomacy for OIC Junior Diplomats” on 13-16 September 2021 through an online video conferencing platform.

The training course will be provided by competent experts to provide the young diplomats from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of OIC member countries with the opportunity to enhance their understanding and knowledge of cultural diplomacy.

The primary focus of the training is to provide knowledge on the association between cultural diplomacy and foreign policy and identify processes to formulate and monitor effective cultural diplomacy practices. The course will also provide insights into the historical developments in cultural diplomacy and the impact that globalization and technological advancement have had on its practice.

The Diplomacy-CaB was initiated by SESRIC in 2017 with the aim of enhancing junior diplomats’ diplomatic skills, helping them acquire the necessary knowledge about the OIC and assisting their understanding of the major regional and international issues.

This training course will be conducted in line with the virtual training solutions undertaken by SESRIC to better serve the Centre’s training activities and keep participants motivated and engaged during this challenging time of global crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
